New Bracelets

My sister was out thrifting and found an old 'conch belt' and sent it to me... it was made from really hard metal, not like the flimsy ones popular in the 80's... So - I got out my metal baseball bat and some duct tape and a mallet and set about to putting a bit of a curve into each link. I fused some glass cabochons (took three loads to get the ones I liked), soldered around them, soldered some bits onto the links, drilled some holes, blah blah blah - and there you have it! Six new bracelets:

There is a seventh one, but I had to order more lobster clasps...

Thank you, Bonnie! I love it when you go out hunting for treasures!

Hey Rachel! Those are tooooo cute! Probably wouldn't fit my big ole wrist but sure would make good gifts. Will go check 'em out in your shop.

Wow they look great - the soldering is so neat - I am a hopeless solderer! These are really pretty - when you mentioned the baseball bat I thought you were going to say you took it to smack your sister because the metal was so hard - phew glad I got that one wrong!
