Two Dog Pond Necklace Contest - Turnin' Up the Heat

This morning I am canning my last two batches of jelly - That's why I chose this image. I'm pretty sure that's how Tim and I look... ha ha ha ha (I am wearing an apron!)
The contest is simple... You comment on what you think would be a perfect caption for this image. Enter often or just once - a winner will be chosen on Friday and rewarded with a soldered glass pendant on a 24" chain. There are more 'rules' posted off on the side>>>
Now - back to the kitchen to make some Sour Cherry Niagra Grape Jelly. Yummy.
What are you doing this glorious Labor Day?
Don't forget to plant your garlic today! Barefoot Lady told me to plant it on Labor Day and harvest it on the 4th of July for the best garlic.

Home...Home on the Range

There's more to cooking than meets the eye

A mover and a shaker

She was out of control! Just look at her shake.

She cooked like she enjoyed it

He required so much attention!

She knew how to spice things up.

They were hands on in the kitchen.

Keep your hands where I can see them!

They are at home on the range.

Get it while it's hot!

Some like it hot!

Cooking, the language of love

she knows how to simmer his sauce

or

she knows what makes his sauce boil

Howdy ma'am, mind if I stir your pot?

and finally... what is on my wall in my kitchen:

This reminds me of a book that I was just given... 'The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl'. It is SUCH a great cookbook. It reads more like a storybook, and has FABULOUS photos - both of Pioneer Woman and Marlboro Man and their kids... AND step by step cooking photos.
It's great. Check it out on Amazon!
But... I don't have a good saying for the necklace. I DO like 'She cooked like she enjoyed it'. Sorta speaks to me.

Haaaa!
You know how they have those big dinner bells out in the country to ring and you'd yell....

"Come and get it!"

Thanks for the garlic tip...NO WONDER garlic doesn't grow for me!!
