Delicious Necklace Winner Announced

Megan's momma told her to channel her inner Forrest Gump and enter this week's necklace contest. Megan took her momma's advice and now she's a winner.
"Families are like fudge ~ mostly sweet with a few nuts"
Very sweet.
Miss Megan - e-mail me (rachel@twodogpond.com) your mailing address and I will send you your winning necklace. Wear it with pride!
...:::~*~:::...
A long time ago, one of my sisters gave me this very wise advice and I feel that it's perfect for this week's necklace:

"Always check out the gene pool you might be pulling from"

Two Dog Pond Necklace Contest - Adopt a Family

This week's image for the necklace contest seems to be a family portrait. It's not my family, but I wouldn't object to two grannies and a bunch of gun-toting cousins...or would I???
Anyway - the contest is simply this: you come up with a word/phrase/saying/quote whatever you think you would like to wear around your neck. On Friday a winner will be chosen and awarded with a soldered glass pendant on a 24" ball chain. Lucky. Lucky.

Necklace Winner - She Loves Her Cowboy

I'm with Lynn on this one - Miss Kitty's entry of "Me encanta mi vaquero" is fabulouso. That cowboy is either a True Spanish Cowboy or one of the Village People....which brings me to why I chose this image for this week's contest: Evidently the YMCA has decided to become just the 'Y'. First thing you think of when you hear 'YMCA'? Wedding receptions and groomsmen fueled up on the floor dancing around and shakin' it for the ladies... So what will become of the Village People if all that's necessary is a Y? Who's gonna hire a cowboy who's good only at making an "M" shape with his body? I digress... Kitty - I'll pop your necklace in the mail to you tomorrow! Enjoy the weekend you fabulous bloggers!

Special Guests at Two Dog Pond - Post #400

My stepdaughter, Kira, has been home from LA for an extended visit. Things always get exciting when she's home! When she's not starring in national commercials, independent films or tattooed up for Yahoo!, she's a Nanny for Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix's kids.
She convinced them to take a detour on their road trip across America to come to Two Dog Pond and see why she loves it here. (I think she misses those adorable children...)
So - they did.
Honestly - I cannot express what genuinely nice people they are. It was like having family members come for a visit! Roasting Marshmallows, playing with the chicks, rowing the boat, eating meals together... Summer is wearing a necklace that her son designed for her down in the Sweatshop.
Casey Affleck and me.
(I should have showered and put on makeup, but they are so laid back I just didn't even worry about it!)
...:::~*~:::...
My brother will be here in a couple weeks....
I had to wonder who he would invite that would shock me more than the Affleck family visiting....
I'm pretty sure it would be these two.

Post 399

...like I said...
nothin'.

Post 398

...I was going to try to think of something great for my 400th post, and what do you know? It happened this weekend. Unfortunately, I've got nothing for Post 398 or 399....

Two Dog Pond Necklace Contest - Ooh La La

Last week's image of small children dressed like little farmers was at the opposite end of the spectrum from this week's image - eh? No clue what these naughty nymphs are up to, but I will leave it up to the imagination of you, my dear clever contest enterers, to come up with the perfect idea.
To enter this contest - simply leave a comment here with what you think would be the perfect caption/quote/lullaby/word/phrase for the backside of this image. On Friday a winner will be chosen and rewarded with a lovely soldered glass pendant hanging on a 24" ball chain. Better yet - entering the contest puts you on the Two Dog Pond Product Development Team and winning a pendant and wearing it about, puts you on the Two Dog Pond Marketing Team! Feel free to put that on your resume!

This Week's Winner - A Journey Awaits You

Congratulations to Lee of "The Girl With The Most Cake" for her winning entry in this week's necklace contest. She submitted "the journey is the reward". That is a good mantra. Lee, please e-mail me your mailing address and I will send you your award winning pendant on a lovely 24" chain.
...:::~*~:::...
Here's what I want to know - when we see a picture like this we tend to think she's leaving for the big city. What if she's escaping the big city to retreat to the country... that's what I would do.
