This is the image for this week's necklace contest. It's completely different than any other image I have used for the contest, but I am intrigued with these hand shadows (yes, I have more) and believe they would make fabulous pendants. So - here's the contest in a nutshell: you leave a comment on what you think would be perfect for the back of this image....a word, a quote, a phrase, whatever you think, and on Friday (give or take a rotation of the earth) I will choose a winner and that winner will receive a necklace on a 24" chain with this image and their suggestion on the back. There are complete "rules" posted off on the side> Enter as often as you would like.
Please do me a favor - if you think these hand shadows are a ridiculous choice for pendants and that no one will purchase them, let me know. If you think I'm spot on - tell me I'm brilliant.
Game On.

This image reminds me of that old time gospel song.

New meaning to flipping the bird!
or, "flapping the bird"! (just a comment, not an entry).
I wonder if there are more cards with other hand shadows.

and I think you're....brilliant! Can't wait to see more of your hand shadow images.
OH - Hand shadows are a Fav. of DH & mines!!!! (especially 'Little Bunny Foo-Foo'!) EXCELLENT Rachel! The only problem is, DH and I don't have a token 'nickname' for this particular one... hmmm... all that keeps going through my head is is that darn Denise Williams' song from FOOTLOOSE...
LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY
LET'S GIVE THE BOY A HAND...

CROWS OVER AUBURN
just took a retake, and now it is definitely...

Release your inner beauty.
Set yourself free.

Wishing you a Happy New Year Rachel!
There are some really good suggestions already. I love it, but it's going to be tough to choose just one winner....
Heatherj - did you see we're supposed to get more snow tomorrow? Deb - Happy New Year to you also! Thank you
I love the give peace a hand comment! Very cool!
On a wing and a prayer
ARRRGHHH! More SNOW! We don't have any place to shovel the stuff. Omaha is like a giant, white corn maze ~ and isn't it funny that there are almost no snowmen around here? Just igloos! Nebraskan kids are more apt to build an igloo than a snowman. I guess because the snow hangs around long enough, and DEEP enough, to actually accomplish such a feat.
Be safe, Rachel, and have a prosperous and Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Heatherj
Have a Wonderful New Year Rachel! Thanks for your soldering advice this year!! 8-) (I just heard Shara got a soldering iron for Xmas!!)

Happy New Year, wishing you love, health and prosperity.
Your blog is great makes me seem closer to my cuz.
I know you all get tired of snow in Neb. but my feeling is if it is going to be COLD there might as well be snow. Of course no one in the St. Louis area remembers how to drive on the stuff.
Keep up the good work, I can't tell you how many people have commented on my necklace, especially the photo of Dad. Love you, Rita, Give Aunt Mabel a hug for me.
