Dragonfly Wings

The other day, while taking a walk, I found a freshly deceased dragonfly and brought it home. Yesterday I made this necklace with one of its wings. It's possibly the most favorite thing I have made.

This inspires me - it looks exactly like Montana Agate and I have a sliver that I've been starting at for weeks. Beautiful, Rach, really beautiful :: lynnie

I love it, Rachel!! I have some butterfly wings, if you ever want to try those.

Wow! How did you make that? Is the wing between glass? It's beautiful!! Natural things always inspire me most.

Thank you ladies!
Yes - I did make these pendants. I traced a wing onto paper and cut my glass to the same shape only a bit bigger. Ground the edges, foil taped, soldered and then added a lovely black patina. Voila!
