What a good day! There were a dozen eggs! That means the chickens each laid an egg today - it's the first time that's happened and I am proud. AND - I just got the mail and there was a card from my son - that's a million times better than a dozen eggs! The large pear shaped egg is a pear. Some days are just better than others, aren't they?

They look yummy! I just hard boiled some of my own tonight! Made a macaroni type dish with them!! i always have some hardboiled in the frig..ready for a snack!! My hens are getting old I think..I get one to two a day ...and I have 6 chickens!!! It has been hot here so maybe they are "molting"? Who knows..at least I get an tho'!
