Two Dog Pond Granola Recipe

Mmmm....this is the best Granola ever - I've promised the recipe to several people and now to entice them to visit my blog-o-rama, I'm posting it here.... and no, Rhoda, you can't substitute chocolate chips for the wheat germ! And no, Bonnie - Drinking a Double Dirty Dry Martini with Granola doesn't make it healthier!

8 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups wheat germ
8 oz coconut
1 1/2 cups of nuts (walnuts, sunflower seeds, cashews, whatever you like!)
1/2 cup salad oil
3/4 cup honey
2 tsp vanilla

Stir the oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, coconut, and nuts together in a big bowl.
Heat the oil, honey and vanilla until it gets bubbly (stirring often)
Mix it all together.
Spread the granola evenly on two large cookie sheets and bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring once at halftime.
