I can't believe we've been doing this together for a year already! Some of you have been entering each and every week - thank you. There have been some really fun necklaces created as a result of the clever sayings you are all submitting. Thank you.
I've decided the contest will go on.
Things here in the Two Dog Pond Sweatshop are already getting quite busy for the holidays, so some weeks you will have to be patient with me as it takes me longer to choose a winner when I'm, well, busy...
So ~ Here she is - this beautiful and contemplative woman in the forest is our contest image for the last week of Year One. You submit a saying, phrase, quote, word that you think would be perfect for the backside of this image. Snarky or Serious - you never know what's going to win! On or shortly after Friday morning a winner will be chosen by whomever is working in or visiting the Sweatshop. The winner will be awarded with a soldered glass pendant on a 24" ball chain.
It's been a great first year!

If I look serene, nobody will notice I'm pulling my thong out of my crack!
Wow! A whole year--and glad to hear you're going to continue--it's something I look forward to every week just to see the clever comments people come up with.
If you wait long enough..your Romeo will come...
Waiting for my Knight in Shining Armor.

Hamlet-
You don't have to blend in to be accepted....stand tall.
Stillness. Peace. Serenity.
Be still and know that God is God.
The groves were God's first Temples... (if it would fit, I would put the whole poem by Wm. Cullen Bryant on the back. But then you'd have a billboard and it'd be hard to wear without serious chiropractic repercussions.)

Where is that Big Bad Wolf when you want him?
Hoping to meet the Big Bad Wolf
Hope waits for the Big Bad Wolf
I should've gotten that GPS after all.
(I am glad you are going to continue the contest, too. It is always fun to read people's ideas! I love this image.)
This image makes me think of that old, old song, "I'm a little lamb who's lost in the wood, I know I could always be good - to one who'll watch over me..." Remember that?
Looking for love in all the wrong places.
be still
be still and know that I am
remember to stop and be still
take time to ponder
Once upon a time...
girl in the woods (as in Van Gogh)
and of course i can't NOT do snark...

HI Rachel, that line's from one of my favorite poems.

Nothing is worth more than this day!
a soft voice is the sound of peace!
Honor the past, live in the present, create the future
We'll always have Paris.
I'd ask you about love, but you'd probably quote me a sonnet.
Kiss me.
je t'aime.
alone with my thoughts
wishing upon a star
to thy own self be true
wandering brings adventure
Let the journey begin...
Rachel...So happy the contest is going to continue!!!
being able to see the forest through the trees...
or
being able to see the forest through the trees... priceless
searching for my knight in shining armor...

Branching out
Talking to trees
A Walk in the Woods
Not out of the woods yet ...
Somewhere only we know...
Lean on me
Create your own path
Follow your heart
Walks & quiet talks
sometimes she just listened

Life whispers...listen

I"m waiting here..... For my prince.
These are NOT hiking shoes!
The groom went where!?
Escape.
Time for you -is time to renew.
Love begins with dreams.
I hope I'm not to late to enter!
These are NOT hiking shoes!
The groom went where!?
Escape.
Time for you -is time to renew.
Love begins with dreams.
I hope I'm not to late to enter!
patience is a virtue.
think what you know, and know what you think.
there's power in stillness.
waiting for eternity.
it's YOUR wedding day, embrace it.
when you are most lost, you are found.
-Trent.
two roads diverged in a yellow wood and i, i took the one less travelled by
i met a traveller from an antique land
all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream
do not go gentle into that good night
she walks in beauty like the night
i wandered lonely as a cloud
you dream in the green of your time
your memory is a row of sinking pines
*all of the above are lines from various poems :)
*p.s. love the image this week!
If a tree falls in the forest......
my fairy tale life
I have one more:
dude, where's my car?
Tomorrow .. same time, same place
Bloom where you are planted....
When you wish upon a star your, your dreams come true!
I love your contest! I won and still enjoy wearing my necklace!
